Jadon Michael Shane McGarity

Jadon Michael Shane McGarity, 58, of Port Arthur was born June 29, 1958 in Port Arthur and passed away May 27, 2017. A memorial service celebrating his life will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Claybar Kelley-Watkins Chapel in Beaumont.

Shane was a graduate of Lamar University where he obtained BS degrees in both Physics and Engineering. Shane had many passions and worked in a variety of careers during his life. Among his varied careers, he worked as an X-ray technician, a martial arts instructor at his own Dojo and also a weapons technician for NASA.

During the past 20 years Shane taught High School Physics. He began his teaching career at Lumberton High School and retired from Robert E. Lee High School in Baytown.

Shane was understanding and patient. He loved life and excelled at anything he attempted. He was dearly loved by all those who knew him and genuinely love them in return.

He is survived by his mother and step- father, Patricia Beal and William E. Terrell of Port Arthur; daughter, Keryn Seaton of Port Arthur; grandson Joshua Seaton of Port Arthur and sister Dianna “Renee” Woody of Cypress, Texas.
