James Tanner Hodge Edgerton, 37, of Orange, passed away on September 21, 2021, in Beaumont.
Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 2, 2021, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Josh Fults of First Baptist Church in Orange.
Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m., Saturday, October 2, 2021, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Orange, Texas, on December 27, 1983, he was the son of Kathy Lynn (Hudson) Edgerton and Doug Hodge. Tanner graduated from Little Cypress-Mauriceville in 2003. Tanner had a heart of gold and an absolutely pure soul. He never had a bad thing to say about anyone, and always wore the biggest smile. Tanner loved helping his family with anything they needed. He enjoyed watching sports, especially the Texas Longhorns, Texans and Astros, and took great joy in playing baseball. Tanner also enjoyed watching WWE. Tanner left an impact on everyone he met and will be deeply missed by all those who came to know and love him.
He is survived by his mother, Kathy Lynn Edgerton and husband James of Orange; paternal father, Doug Hodge and wife Nora of Vidor; sister, Ashley Seago and husband Jerrod of Orange; brother, Garrett Hodge of Vidor; and nephew, Fisher Seago of Orange.
