James Ewell Jackson II., 77, of Orange, passed away on July 28, 2021, in Beaumont.
Born in Dolton, Alabama, on April 3, 1944, he was the son of James Ewell Jackson and Theresa (Willis) Jackson. James professionally raced motocross for years and enjoyed every thrilling second of it. He and his wife drove trucks cross country, making memories through every state line they drove. James loved to fish and used his son, Guy as his “trolling motor”. He enjoyed collecting and shooting guns and sailing. He adored his family, especially his grandchildren, and raised chickens with his granddaughter. James lived a life well lived of adventure & love and will be deeply missed by all those who came to know him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Theresa Jackson; loving wife of almost 20 years, Clarine Jackson; and sister, Tippy.
He is survived by his son, Guy Jackson of Groves; step-son, Landon Brinkley of Orange; grandchildren, Sophia Jackson, Lauren Brinkley and Tyler Brinkley; and sisters, Patty and Deedee.
