James ?Jim? Martin, Jr., 50, of Bridge City, died, Tuesday, May 15, 2007, after a long illness.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 19, 2007, at Faith United Methodist Church in West Orange. Reverend Kevin M. Kissel will be officiating.
Cremation will be under the direction of Claybar Haven of Rest Crematory.
Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Jim was born, October 16, 1956, in Alexandria, LA, to James Aruther Martin, Sr. and his mother, Montez Mary Bordelon Martin Sohoski.
Jim was employed by Collision Clinic in Bridge City as an Auto Body Mechanic. He was a member of Faith United Methodist Church and served in the U.S. Army.
He was very dedicated to his family. A man with a strong work ethic, who dearly loved; his wife,
children, grandchildren. He will be missed greatly by his co-workers, friends and church family.
He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Ashley Angel Cammack.
He is survived by his wife, Pat Isaacs Martin of Bridge City; his mother, Montez Sohoski of Orange, his father, James Aruther Martin, Sr. of Vass, NC, mother in law, Marjorie A. Sanford of Orange; daughters, Jessica Martin Thomas and husband Grant of Humble, Cheri Hazi Powell and husband Jason of Bridge City and Felicia Gabriella Martin of Bridge City; granddaughter, Adisyn Jae Powell; brother, Robert Martin and wife Samantha of Connecticut, sister, Tina Mosley and husband Danny of Orange, brother Alan Sohoski and wife Mary of Fannett and sister Mechelle Helm and husband Alvin of Orange. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
