James Allen Oliver, 67, of Orange, passed away on November 24, 2021 at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont.
Funeral services will be 2:00pm, Sunday, December 5, 2021 at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Keith Smith. Burial will follow at Autumn Oaks in Orange.
Visitation will be from 5:00-9:00pm, Saturday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Crowley, Louisiana, on July 12, 1954. He was the son of Allen Oliver and Dorothy Fuselier Peacock. As a member of the Orange Boat Club James loved spending his time outdoors fishing, having bonfires and crawfish boils, and enjoying good time with his closest friends and family. He never met a stranger and would share his jokes and laughter with anyone who would listen. His favorite meal was breakfast having his coffee and also enjoyed happy hour at Jay’s with his friends. He enjoyed spending time in his yard and with his beloved cat Tom Jones. He was deeply loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Allen Oliver and Dorothy Peacock; and his sister, Linda Ball; brother, Terry Oliver; granddaughter, Kayla Bartholamew.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Theresa Oliver of Forest Heights of Orange; brother, Michael Oliver of Orange; children, Khara McCoy and Joseph of College Station, Christy Smith and Danny of Mauriceville, Brandy Kyle and Layne of Hackberry, and Trey Frazee and Lucan of Florida; his grandchildren, Christian Deason and wife Issabela, Baylee Roberts, Josiah McCoy, Cameron Kyle, and Ethan Kyle; his great-grandchild, Carsyn Deason.
Serving as pallbearers will be Keith Smith, “Red” Barry Wilkerson, Ryan Taylor, RoyBoy Collins, Robbie Collins, Kyle Holden.
