Born in Nederland, Texas, on November 12, 1944, he was the son of Larry Joseph Voight, Sr. and Era Wiley Voight. His time in the United States Army left a lasting impact on him, shaping his values of dedication and service. Pat's proudest accomplishment was learning to fly at the young age of 16, sparking a lifelong passion for airplanes. Pat led a diverse career as a real-estate broker before transitioning to become a pawnbroker later in life. Pat will be remembered for his love for his family and dogs. His family meant everything to him and had a special bond with his pets. In his free time, Pat enjoyed various hobbies such as fishing, particularly bass and night fishing. His passion for the sport led him to have Voight's Fishing Hole named after him. Additionally, he found joy in golfing, often sharing this pastime with his wife. Pat touched the hearts of many with his kind and loving nature. While he may have departed from this world, his memory will continue to live on through the cherished moments and memories he created with those who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Era and Larry Joseph Voight, Sr.

He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Betty “Jo” Voight; brother, Larry Voight, Jr. and wife, Bobbie; sisters-in-law, Janice Leonard, and Judy Escagne and husband, Allen; nephews, Dean Voight and wife, Sarah, Chris Leonard and wife, Cindy, Shawn Escagne, Allen Escagne III, and Keith Downey; nieces, Nikki Piekenbrock and husband, Steve, Kristi Louvier and husband, Chris, Melissa Evans, April Turner and husband, Ray, Nannette Jo Graham and husband, Greg, Chrystal Sterns, Tina Nezat and husband, J.D., and Nina Birdwell and husband, James; numerous other loving nieces, nephews, family and friends; and his fur baby, Patches.
