James “Jim” Wallace
James “Jim” Wallace, 87, of Bridge City, Texas, passed away on March 4, 2018, in Beaumont, Texas.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, March 6, 2018, at Claybar Funeral Homes in Bridge City. Officiating will be Reverend Alan Wallace. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.
Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 1 p.m.
Born in Red Rock, Oklahoma, on November 4, 1930, he was the son of Walter Harvey Wallace and Mildred (Cooper) Wallace Stockton. Jim served his country in the Air Force during the Korean War. He worked as a Maintenance Electrician for Chevron. Jim was very active in Bridge City Little League in their early years of formation. He loved the outdoors, often fishing and camping. He will be dearly missed by all those who came to know and love him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Robbie Wallace; two brothers; and his three sisters.
He is survived by his daughter, Vickie Parish of Beaumont; sons, Robert “Bubba” Wallace and wife Amanda of Lubbock and James Johnson and wife Vickie of Port Acres and their family; grandchildren, Josh Brown and wife Melanie of Beaumont, Erik Parish of Beaumont, Wade Wallace and Jack Wallace of Lubbock; great-grandchildren, Mikey, Abigail and Audrey Brown; brother, Glen Wallace of Bridge City; and sister, Margaret Cathey of Tonkawa, Oklahoma; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
