Funeral services for James Wesley Doguet, 57 of Kountze will be held Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. a.m. in the Claybar Kelley Watkins Chapel with Reverend Paul Sumler of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church officiating. Cremation will follow. Visitation will be from 4 – 8:00 p.m. Monday evening with a Rosary service at 6:30 p.m..
James was born March 4, 1951 in Orange, Texas and passed away at Christus Hospital-St. Elizabeth in Beaumont. A resident for Kountze for the past two years, he was a former resident of Orangefield.
Prior to his illness, James worked as a construction supervisor for Holiday Builders in Galveston. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War and was an avid "collector" of a variety of items. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and "Harley" rider
He is preceded in death by his parents, Wesley and Lillian Doguet and two brothers, Berchman and Loubert Doguet.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 32 years, Marion Doguet of Kountze; children, Atecia Harrington of Austin, Nikki Doguet of Kountze, Staff Sergeant James "J. R." Doguet serving in Iraq; grandchildren, M'Reen Doguet, Jacob Frederick, Justen Harrington, Brenden James Harrington, Tommy Osborne; and sister, Nelda Ann Cowart.
Memorial contributions may be made at time of services in lieu of flowers.
