Janice Jean Llewellyn Bishop, 79, of Beaumont, Texas passed away June 27, 2009 after a brief hospitalization. Jean, as she was known to her friends, was born in McCook, Nebraska to Edward Davis Llewellyn and Thelma Mae Cottingham Llewellyn on July 22, 1929.
Jean is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Bradley and Sheila Bishop who reside in Friendswood, Texas. Also surviving her are three granddaughters, Jennifer McCord, Diana Culp and Karah Bishop; two great-granddaughters, Mekaila McCord, Makenzie Culp; and one great-grandson, Tyler Stennett.
As a Registered Nurse Jean was a caregiver and practiced medicine for many years. Some of those years were at the Clairmont Beaumont Nursing Home and, as one of life's twists and turns, The Clairmont was the final residential home for Jean.
Services for Jean Bishop will be held at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, June 30 at 1:00 p.m. with her final resting place being in the Columbarium at the church.
