Janice Kay Williamson JJ Jones

Janice Kay Williamson "JJ" Jones, 67, of Orange passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2013, at her home.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 12, 2013, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend David Turner, pastor of Little Cypress Baptist Church.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home.

Born in Orange on July 31, 1945, Janice was the daughter of Ralph Russell Williamson and Rose Ella Padgett Williamson. She was a retired Lab Analyst from DuPont Sabine River Works. Janice enjoyed feeding and watching birds, as well as taking pictures of them and other wildlife. She was a good cook and loved cooking and spending time with her children and family.

Preceded in death by her parents, Janice is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Darlene Jones of Mauriceville and Collin Jones of Victoria; and grandchildren, Seth Jones and Ricci Shoemaker.

Also surviving are her sisters and brother-in-law, Velma Parker of Houston and Jessie and Wilson Perry of Orange; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be Boyd Perry, Tommy Parker, Andy Perry, Kenny Parker, Carrol Schrieber and Bubba Lavergne.

The family would like to thank Dr. Robert Birdwell, Odyssey Hospice and We Care Home Health for their compassionate care and support.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73123-1718 or Odyssey Hospice, 550 Fannin Street, Suite 1230, Beaumont, Texas 77701.

Cremation will be under the direction of Claybar Haven of Rest Crematory.
