Janie Louise Whitehead, 75, of Sulphur Springs, Texas, passed away on November 26, 2018.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, November 29, 2018 at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Pastor Douglas Caldwell. Burial will follow at Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m., Thursday, November 29, 2018 at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Port Arthur, Texas, on September 28, 1943, she was the daughter of Clarence Hudson and Audrey (Vardaman) Hudson. Janie was a faithful member of St. Phillips Methodist Church before her move to Sulphur Springs. She had an amazing gift for decorating and designing and was an excellent seamstress. Janie was incredibly creative and artistic, often enjoying crafts, and having the most exquisite Christmas tree. She will be dearly missed by all those who came to know and love her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Audrey Hudson; and son, David Bush.
She is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Gene Whitehead of Sulphur Springs; children, Kenny Bush and wife Susan of Plano, Lisa Bush of Lufkin; step-daughter, Debbie Mason and husband Robert of Barling. Arkansas; brother, Randy Hudson and wife Suzanne of Nederland; six grandchildren; a niece and a nephew, along with other loving family and friends.
Serving as pallbearers will be Randy Hudson, Kenny Bush, Robert Mason, Joseph Sumrall, Ryan Hudson, and Chris Parigi.
