Jason Scott Duncan

Jason Scott Duncan

Jason Scott Duncan, a beloved car salesman whose charisma was only rivaled by the size of his heart, departed this world on October 27, 2025, at the age of 46. Born on April 2, 1979, Jason embodied the spirit of a true people person, a vibrant soul who loved to talk and shared laughter wherever he went. His engaging personality drew others in; he never met a stranger and was always ready with a joke or a warm smile that could light up the darkest day.

Throughout his life, Jason served not only as an admirable car salesman but as a staunch friend, an unwavering support for anyone in need. His great big body seemed to carry with it a great big heart, ever willing to lend a hand or offer a listening ear. It was this caring and fun-loving nature that made him a cherished figure in the community, forever vibrant, like a big kid living his best life.

Having served his country in the Army, Jason carried the same commitment he showed in military service into his civilian life. He approached every day with enthusiasm, embracing each person who crossed his path with genuine warmth and affection. Whether exchanging stories about the latest car models or sharing a laugh over coffee, his connection with others was profound—and he made it clear that he would do anything to help those around him.

Jason leaves behind cherished memories that will linger in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him. His unique ability to connect, uplift, and bring joy will undoubtedly echo in the lives he touched. He will be remembered not just as a car salesman but as a beacon of kindness, a jokester with a heart of gold, and a true friend to many.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Lonnie Lee Hood and Ina Jo Hood; great-grandmothers, Eva Fourier and Audra Duncan; and his beloved aunt, Patricia Diane Pellin.

Those left to cherish his memory include his parents, Jon Scott and Linda Joyce Duncan, of Brownwood, TX; his son, Quentin Deifel, of Marktbreit, Germany; brother, Jon Paul Duncan, of Springfield, TN; and his sister, Elizabeth Jo Perez and husband Anthony, of Brownwood, TX; his grandparents, Bill and Carol Duncan of Oberlin, KS; his aunt, Ramona Patrick and husband, Curtis of Springtown, TX.; his uncle, Greg Duncan and wife, Tamara of Lubbock, TX.; his aunt Kathleen Norris and husband, Greg of Brookville, KS.; his cherished niece Addie Viola Duncan of Springfield, TN.; his greatly loved nephews, Gabriel Christopher Perez, and Matthew Aaron Perez, both of Brownwood, TX.; along with several very special cousins and other loving family members, as well as a multitude of friends and acquaintances.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.

The services for Jason Duncan, will be livestreamed for the ones who are unable to make it. The livestream can be found under his obituary on www.claybarfuneralhome.com.

Jason, You were one of the best roommates i have ever had. In the darkest of times you have always helped me see the light in the distance, and make me bust out laughing till i don't feel so down anymore. Just like the time you let me borrow your car while mine was getting worked on and when i would get home you would always ask me if i totaled it, or if i was ready to sign my name on the dotted line because you had one for sale. I miss you every single day that passes by. I keep having to stop myself from trying to call you, or going down to your room to see if you had time to talk. You were taken from us too soon my friend. Please save me a room next to yours up there! Till we meet again!

Jason, your presence is already missed beyond words. Countless times, I’ve reached for the phone, expecting to hear your voice, your calm, your encouragement. You were always there through every joy, every storm, no matter the hour or the reason. I’m endlessly grateful for the years I had with you, but my heart knows it wasn’t nearly enough.
