Jean Karasik, 90, of Orange, passed away April 14, 2021 in Georgetown.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 19, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Bobby Daniel. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in New York, New York, on August 9, 1930, she was the daughter of Philip Harris and Mary (Irving) Harris. Jean was a faithful member of The Presbyterian Church and always volunteered her time in the office. She was a lover of music and could always be found dancing away with her husband. Jean enjoyed watching old movies and Broadway shows. She had the sweetest soul and was a classy yet spunky lady who never met a stranger. Jean adored her family more than anything and was the best “Nana” to her beloved grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, and friend who left an impact on many lives.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, David Karasik; parents, Philip and Mary Harris; five sisters; daughter in law, Mary Kate Karasik; and granddaughter in law, Felicia Wilson Guillory.
She is survived by her children, Steve Karasik of Austin, Phyllis Guillory and husband James (Pat) of Belton, and Jimmy Karasik and wife Michele of Orange; grandchildren, Chris Guillory, Nicholas Karasik, Erin Husband and husband David, Scott Karasik and wife Bonnie, and Lindsey Karasik; great grandchildren, Leilyn, Knox, and Ansley.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jimmy Karasik, Pat Guillory, Chris Guillory, Nicholas Karasik, Scott Karasik, and David Husband. Honorary pallbearer is Steve Karasik.
