Jeanelle H. Montet
Jeanelle H. Montet, 90, of Bridge City, Texas, passed away on July 6, 2023, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.
A Mass of Christian Burial will 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Antony Paulose. Entombment will follow at St. Mary Cemetery in Orange.
A Rosary will begin at 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. A visitation will follow from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., at Claybar Funeral Home.
Born in Maurice, Louisiana, on December 7, 1932, she was the daughter of Ellis Hebert and Marie (Picard) Hebert. Jeanelle was the proud owner and director of Nanny Montet’s Playroom for 50 years. She enjoyed working with children and making sure they had everything they needed. At one point she and Curley were active members of Les Acadiens du Texas. Jeanelle was also a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. She loved making friends and never met a stranger. Jeanelle was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother and her family will always cherish their memories with her.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Marie Guidry; father, Ellis Hebert; brothers, John Lallis Hebert and Lloyd Joseph Hebert; and grandson, Jake Anthony Tegge.
She is survived by her loving husband of 71 years, Curley Paul Montet; daughters, Susan and husband, Glen Klein, and Bonnie and husband, Russell Tegge; sons, Ellis Montet, and Walton Montet; grandchildren, Chris Klein and wife, Tiffany, Cory Klein and wife, Jalisha, Justin Tegge and wife, Claudia, Dakota Montet, Paris Montet, Kanyon Montet, and Cheyenne Montet; great-grandchildren, Natalie Klein, Ben Klein, Adalyn Klein, Jaxon Klein, Indy Klein, Evan Tegge, and Ellie Tegge; sisters, Jessie Simon and husband John, and Glinda Ann Hebert; brother, Charles Hebert; best friend, Patsy Dillon; as well as other loving family and friends.
