Jeanne Arden Davies, passed away on December 26, 2024, in Beaumont, Texas, after a hard-fought battle with cancer.
Jeanne was a lifelong resident of Beaumont, where she attended Lamar University obtaining two bachelor’s degrees, in nursing and psychology, and later put her skills to use tending to her elderly mother in her later years. More recently assisting fellow residents of A Summer Place in Beaumont with small kindnesses and a helping hand. She loved to travel, especially to the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. Jeanne was fond of her nieces and nephews, never missing a family birthday or Christmas card. She enjoyed hearing family updates and admiring photos and was a prolific photographer. Jeanne loved her two Cocker Spaniels, Buffy and Mindy, showering them with love and treats. She was an avid Houston area sports fan, particularly the Houston Rockets and Astros. Jeanne obtained her pilots license while in her teens, but illness forced her to give up flying early. She was a wonderful and amazing lady and will be deeply missed.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert F. and Faye K. Davies; older sister, Janice D. Woosley and her husband, Bobby Dee Woosley; nephew, Scott L. Woosley; niece, Kerry Strasheim Ristow; and niece-in-law, Linda Saia Woosley.
She is survived by her sister, Judith D. Biglow and husband Bill of Burbank, CA and their children Alexis, Eric, Lee, and Erin; her grandnephew Alec, son of Eric, and grandniece Siobhan, daughter of Erin. She is also survived by her niece Sandra W. Bronson and husband Steve of Georgetown TX and their sons Jonathan and James; and her nephew, Steven Woosley of Washington State.
