Jenean Van Benthuysen, 57, of Orangefield, Texas, passed away on February 17, 2018, in Beaumont, Texas.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 24, 2018, at Silver Oaks Baptist Church in Mauriceville, Texas. Officiating will be Reverend Ed Rawls. Burial will follow the service at Oak Bluff Cemetery, in Port Neches, Texas.
Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Texarkana, Texas, on July 27, 1960, she was the daughter of James Kenneth Teague and Betty Jane Teague. Married to Bill, her cherished companion, in June of 1982, Jenean was a military spouse who stood by her husband through war and peace while he served for over 20 years in the United States Air Force. She was a Sunday School Teacher at numerous churches including Silver Oaks Baptist Church, Kanto Plains Baptist Church, First Baptist Church of Anchorage, and in Zion Hill, Arkansas. She loved teaching, traveling, going on adventures and mission work. Jenean loved her family dearly and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Betty Teague; grandparents; brother-in-law, Mark Griffin; aunts, Billy and Willard Tassin, and Katherine Austin; uncle, John Parker; and her niece, Brittany Shepherd.
Jenean is survived by her loving husband, Bill Van Benthuysen; her parents-in-law, Joe and Doris Van Benthuysen; aunt, Sug Ursula; uncles, William Shaw and Clifton Austin; siblings, Jimmy Teague and wife Cynthia, of Tioga and Cheryl Griffin, of Texarkana; sister-in-law, Denise Shepherd and husband Ricky, of Orange; brother-in-law, Russell Van Benthuysen and wife Cathy, of Harvest, AL; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers will be Aaron Barnes, Evan Rawls, Matthew Forrester, Ricky Shepherd, Cory Van Benthuysen, and Douglas Parker.
