Jerry Dean Winfrey, 67, of Groves, Texas died Friday, May 14, 2010, at Harbor Hospital in Orange.
Memorial services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 22, 2010, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange.
Born in Cowgill, Missouri on October 22, 1942, Jerry was the son of Blanche Pollard and William Winfrey. He served in the United States Army and worked as a heavy equipment operator for Local 450.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Martha Winfrey; daughter, Wanda Hayes and husband Mike of St. Joseph, MO; sons, Jerry M. Winfrey and wife Galina of Bridge City, Thomas Winfrey of San Luis Obiso, CA, John Winfrey of Nederland, and Jason Winfrey of Groves.
He is also survived by his grandchildren, Nicole Jones, Stephanie Castle, Bobbie Jones, Joseph Jones, Inesa Svalaityte, Jerry A. Winfrey, Karina Winfrey, Kourtney Winfrey, Jacy Winfrey, Jaxin Winfrey, and Dylan Winfrey; 8 great-grandchildren; brother, Herschell Winfrey; and sisters, Wanda Meagher and Judie Statler.
