Jesse Thomas "Top" Boles, Jr., 77, of Orange passed away Tuesday, February 5, 2008, at Harbor Hospital in Orange.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 7, 2008, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange.
Graveside service and interment will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, at Strong Cemetery in Center, TX. Officiating will be Reverend Marv Howland.
Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m., Thursday, at the funeral home.
Top was born September 9, 1930, in Shelbyville, TX, to Jesse T., Sr. and Maggie Baker Boles.
He retired from Firestone as an operator.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse T., Sr. and Maggie Boles; his companion of 29 years, Natalie Smith, brothers, Alvis Doyle and Thomas Lee Boles, sister Zelda Peveto and infant sister, Caroline.
He is survived by his children, Greg Boles, Gary Boles and Gwen Stark all of Linden, TX; eight grandchildren and sister Melba Kelley of Orange.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Strong Cemetery, Perpetual Fund, P. O. Box 1383, Center, Texas, 75935.
