Gene was my great-grandma, whom I called Big Mama. She was probably one of the sweetest ladies I have ever known and always gave me treats and sodas. I remember I would go to her house, and she would give me the biggest hug in the world. I just want to ask for prayers for our family because we are definitely going to need them.

I loved having Gene for a neighbor. We visited “over the fence” for so many years and she often left fruit from her trees on my porch (happy surprises!). After I moved, I still stopped by for an “over the fence” visit when I visited Orange. I am sorry for your loss, Gayle and Larry. I will miss her too!
