Born in Shamrock, Texas, on December 7, 1946, he was the son of Jessie Owland Terry and Ruth Ludene Terry (Bryant). Throughout his life, Jessie was known for his warm personality and his ability to connect with whoever he met. He never met a stranger and was always the first to lend a helping hand. Jessie had a long career as a manager at Oxbow Calcining, where he worked diligently and retired after many years of service. In addition to his impressive career and community service, Jessie served his country in the United States Marine Corps, where he completed two tours in Vietnam. This experience shaped much of his life, instilling in him values of service and resilience. Outside of work and service, Jessie had a passion for the outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He also loved to work with his hands and was known for his remarkable ability to fix anything that was broken. Jessie's legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. He touched many lives with his kindness and generosity, and he will be fondly remembered by all who had the pleasure of calling him a friend.
