Jeweldean Peveto Shannon, 84, of Vidor, passed away Monday, August 5, 2013 in Beaumont.

Funeral Service will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, August 8, 2013 at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Kevin Brown. Burial will follow at Autumn Oaks. Serving as Pallbearers will be Mark Duran, Eddie Gallier, Randy Hebert, Donald Hebert, Edward L. Shannon and Pat Garza.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 6 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Born in Mauriceville on January 15, 1929, Jeweldean was the daughter of Carroll and Reta (Hebert) Peveto. She was the vice president of the Texas Commerce Bank in Beaumont and was a member of First Baptist Church in Mauriceville.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Carroll and Reta (Hebert) Peveto; husband, George C. Shannon, Jr. and sister, Carol Ruth Emmel.

Jeweldean is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Eddie Gallier of Lumberton; granddaughter, Cara Crossley of Austin and numerous nieces and nephews.
