Jim Fleming, 76, of Bridge City and former resident of Beaumont, died on August 12, 2009 at his residence in Bridge City.
Funeral services will be 10:00a.m., Saturday, August 15, 2009, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Bridge City. Officiating will be Reverend Bill Collier of Liberty Baptist Church in Bridge City. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens near Bridge City.
Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00p.m., Friday, August 14, 2009 at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.
Jim was born on January 11, 1933, in Center, Texas. He was the son of Norman David and Ollie Jane Davenport Fleming. He was a United States Korean War vet. Jim was a member of Pipefitter Local 195. He was a mans man who lived life the fullest, but most of all he was a loving son, brother, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend. He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include daughter, Debbie Ann Fleming of Orange, Texas; grandchild, Kevin Fleming; eight nephews; six nieces; sisters, Norma Byous of League City, Texas, and Darlene Shaw of Seabrook, Texas; brothers and sisters-in-law, Tommy and Dianne Fleming and C.R. and Ann Fleming both of Bridge City.
Serving as pallbearers will be George Fleming, Kyle Gilliam, Dalton Borne, Shawn Fleming, Jay Fleming, Sam Byous, and Billy Byous.
