Jimmy Roy Granger, 65, of Orangefield, passed away on January 12, 2021, in Port Arthur.
A graveside service will be held at Granger Cemetery on Tuesday, January 19, 2021, at 10:00 a.m..
Born in Orange, Texas, on November 17, 1955, he was the son of Horace David Granger and Sylvania Mary (Dequeant) Granger. He graduated from Bridge City high school. Jimmy enjoyed building things, hunting and fishing. He was an incredibly hard worker, always going above and beyond to provide for his family. Jimmy could often be found working on a project or listening to George Jones. He spent a diligent 45 years with the Local 525 where he worked as a pipefitter and a welder. The love of Jimmy’s life was his sweetheart, Jean, always telling her he wouldn’t stop loving her until the day he died.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Horace and Sylvania Granger; brother, Jack Ray Granger; and niece, Diamond Ray Granger.
He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Jean Granger of Orangefield; son, Michael Granger and wife Jennifer of Las Vegas; grandchildren, Alaina and Lily Granger; sister, Janice Ruth Evans and husband Ronnie of Orange; sister-in-law, Charlotte Granger of Orangefield; niece, Destiny Rae Granger of Orangefield; and nephews, David Ray Granger of Virginia and Donnie Roy Granger of Taiwan.
