Jimmy Lee Young

Jimmy Lee Young, 70, passed away on December 1, 2007, at Memorial Herman Baptist Hospital.
Mr. Young is survived by his wife of 50 years, Penny Young and four children, Shiela Colvin of Florence, MS, Joyce Young of Jackson, MS, Sandi Rogers of Austin, TX, and Kelly Young of Green Castle, IN,
He is preceded in death by son, Wesley Young and parents, Jimmy and Lizzy Young.
He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was raised in West Bluff and later moved to Orange.
Mr. Young served in the United States Navy for eight years from 1957 to 1965. After his years in the service he worked at Livingston Ship yard for 3 years, after which he became a captain on a fuel boat for the next 15 years.
Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 4, 2007, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Jerry Smith of Serenity Oaks Ministry.
Burial will follow at Cormier Cemetery in Toomey-Starks, LA.
Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m., Monday, at Claybar Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers are Daniel Blake, Wayne Chapman, Gilbert Lerma, William Bensler, Cory Kovatch, J.T. Kovatch.
