Jo Ann Moore, 81, of Orangefield, Texas, passed away on February 13, 2020, at her home in Orangefield.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 18, 2020, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.

Visitation will be from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, February 17, 2020, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.

Born in Orange, Texas, on January 17, 1939, she was the daughter of Joseph Edlin Brown and Viola Lee (Ousley) Brown. Jo Ann was a lifelong resident of Orangefield and was a faithful member of First Christian Church of Orangefield. She was known for having a big heart and being a very generous and loving woman. Jo Ann’s family was the most important thing to her, and her grandchildren meant the world to her. She was a bright light in the lives of those who knew and loved her and she will be missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Viola Brown; and her loving husband, Richard Moore.

She is survived by her children, Ricky Moore and wife Naomi, Rhonda Doyle and husband Mickey, Lorrie LeBlanc and husband Mark, and Terri Moore, all of Orangefield; her grandchildren, Shawn Daigle and wife Brittany, Joshua LeBlanc and wife Corrie, Kacey LeBlanc, all of Orangefield, Russell Crain of Zavalla, and Amber Crain of Austin; her great-grandchildren, Maysie Carpenter, Griffin Thomas, and Stevie LeBlanc; her sister, Becky Breaux and husband Mike of Carencro, Louisiana; her nephews, Shane Breaux and wife Tammy and Kody Breaux, all of Carencro; and her great-nephews, Austen Breaux and Jace Breaux.

Back in the day, us girls used to spend the night with Terri at the Moore's home. If you were hungry someone had something cooking or you could go to Mrs. Moore's "grocery store" for a quick snack. But once it was time to go bar hopping everything better be done or you better scatter quickly before you were caught lol. Good times :purple_heart::purple_heart::purple_heart:
