Jo Kathryn “Kitty” Howell, 95, of Beaumont, passed away peacefully November 20, 2014 at the age of 95.
Kitty was born August 20, 1919 in Beaumont, Texas to Joe and Kathryn Wall, and was a graduate of Beaumont High. She retired from Jefferson County where she worked in the county clerk’s office as a title clerk. She was a member of the Friendship Class at Trinity United Methodist Church, and enjoyed playing bridge with friends and participating in activities at the Woman’s Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Everett Howell, her parents, brother and her beloved Scottie.
Kitty leaves behind her daughter, Kaye White and husband Dan of Beaumont; grandsons, Ryan A. White of Beaumont and G. Adam White and wife, Lindsey, of Albuquerque, NM. as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the nursing staff of Summer Place Nursing and Rehab Center for the extraordinary care the provided for the last five years.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 24, 2014 at 10 a.m. in the Dishman Chapel of Trinity United Methodist Church with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. A gathering of family and friends will be on Sunday from 4-6:00 p.m. at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home.
