JoAnn Godeaux Bradley, or Jo, as so many called her, lived a life full of love and laughter. She leaves us with many memories and entertaining stories of time spent with the people she so dearly loved. "Mother" to three and "MawMaw" to eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, her family was her everything. There were few dull moments in her home. The door was open to all at any hour, day or night. Her favorite pastime was watching children play, whether in her living room or in the yard. Her loving, nurturing spirit was her greatest gift to others, and her appreciation for life and the ability to love and embrace people of all ages was beautiful. Being the domestic goddess that she was, her cooking skills were amazing, and of course she loved being told so. She had a green thumb and loved spending time playing in her plants and flowers. JoAnn had a spunky personality and a competitive side that you experienced if you ever played cards, Yahtzee, or any games with her. She also loved watching TV-anything from movies, Survivor, and crime drama to old westerns. She collected antiques, all things QVC, and loved showering her loved ones with lots of these things. JoAnn had a strong faith and was active at Old First Orange Baptist Church for many years. She spent the last 65 years cherishing the love of her life, Luther Albert Jr. or June, as she called him often. They met through his sister, Lenora, at a basketball game in high school. JoAnn loved the home and life they built together and she will be greatly missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents, T.J. and Alva Godeaux; her loving husband of 64 years, Luther Albert Bradley, Jr.; and her sister, Bobbye Godeaux Askew.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Janet Bradley Peevey and husband, William; sons, Luther Wayne Bradley and wife, Sam, and Steven Kyle Bradley and wife, Christy; grandsons, William Eric Peevey and wife, Amy, Joseph Bradley Peevey and wife, Ashlee, Zachery Shane Peevey and wife, Marissa, Justin Wayne Bradley and wife, Abigail, Justin Ray Henry, and Blake Allen Bradley; granddaughters, Marlee Nicole Bradley and Kylie Olene Bradley; great-grandchildren, Will, Greyson, Rhett, Bodee, Rylie, Emmi Jo, Demi and Ivie; as well as numerous other loving family and friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be William Eric Peevey, Joseph Bradley Peevey, Zachery Shane Peevey, Justin Wayne Bradley, Blake Allen Bradley, and Justin Ray Henry.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her memory to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
