Jodie Darren ?Bubba? Smith, Sr., 47, of Orange, died, Sunday, October 7, 2007 in Beaumont.
Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, October 11, 2007 at First United Methodist Church in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Terry Brown.
Interment will follow at Autumn Oaks Cemetery.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 10, 2007 at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Bubba was born April 27, 1960 in Gilmer, Texas. He was the son of Kenneth and Jane Sullivan Smith. Bubba worked as a brick contractor.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth Smith & Jane Walton, two brothers, Derek and Darwyn Smith, son, Jodie Smith, Jr., daughter, Mindy Smith, step sister, Lori White.
Bubba is survived by his wife, Angie Smith of Kirbyville, stepmother, Judy Smith of Orange, daughter, Misty Lawson of Orange, sons, Jason Smith of Orange, Dusty Lummus and wife, Amanda and Will Lummus all of Kirbyville. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; Alec Lawson, Tristen Lawson, Darren Bland, Krystalynn Smith, Mary Lummus, Janis Lummus, Anna Lummus, Keaton Smith, Kenlee Smith, John Lummus, Jason Paul Johnson, brothers, Dodd Smith of Orange and Selvin Walton of Longview, sisters, Kenda Poole of Wichita Falls and Codie Vasquez of Orange and many loving nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers will be Allen Peveto, Dale Whitehead, Johnny Buckley, Dusty Lummus, Marlin Ellis, Alaniz Vasquez, ?Rico Vasquez, Lee Roy White, D.J. Smith, Dylan Smith and Mike Craig.
