May I please share my sympathy with Josie and all of John's children. I recently lost my mother at the same age, and I know what a terrible void it leaves in the family. May your family draw even closer together now for support. The best help I got at the time was from re-reading Bible verses about the resurrection like John 11:40-44. They meant a lot more to me afterward. Maybe they will help you, too and remind you of your Dad's faith. Let me know if I may share more. Again, please accept my deepest sympathy.

John and I are cousins, we first met according to my Mother, Wanda, when I was 3 months old and he was 3 weeks old in Zwolle where our grand parents lived and died. John was a shining star in our Cordova family, his laugh was contagious, his smile always genuine,he was always thinking on the sunny side of the street. He was loved by many and brought joy to those he met always. He was always the brightest star in the crowd, not that he tried to be, that was just his spirit, one of kindness to all, a great example to all of us. The earth lost a huge sparkle when his spirit was taken to his Heavenly Father but heaven is so much brighter for it. I know all his relatives that have passed, including his dear earthly father and mother, Uncle Buddy and Aunt Pauline are embracing his presence now. My Daddy, Uncle Sonny Boy or Joe...had the same grin as John...Dad, be with John, show him the ropes of Heaven along with Uncle Buddy and Aunt Pauline...you will find each other and know each other....John will be missed and mourned forever and always, but never forgotten. He was a wonderful son, husband, father, cousin, uncle, brother and friend. If you had the privilege and honor of knowing him he left a wonderful impression on your soul...Love Ya John...

To the Cordova family, I extend my condolence. If you can imagine the time when John will be resurrected back to life on earth where there will be no more old age, sickness or having to worry about dying again, then you have a glimpse of what life will be like under God's Kingdom that we pray for when saying the "Lord's Prayer." To verify this promise in your Bible, read Isaiah twenty-six nineteen, Job thirty-three twenty-five, Isaiah thirty-three twenty-four, Isaiah twenty-five eight and Matthew six ten. We can put our faith and confidence in these promises because we know God does not lie as stated at Numbers twenty-three nineteen.

My cousin, my friend, life will go on but it won't be the same without you. You touched so many with your pure spirit and love for our Lord. No longer do you suffer, your body is whole, strong, and well again and you're one of God's great angels. There will never be another like you. I'll see you on the other side.

It is with much sadness I learn of John's passing. I was blessed to see him in Hemphill not too long ago when he and the family had been camping. My deepest heartfelt condolences to all the family, friends, and loved ones of John. I pray God gives each of you strength and comfort at this difficult time and in the days to come.

He's the mosting amazing person God has ever blessed me with in this life. He was my hero. He didn't need a cape. He was always there for me. I couldn't have asked for more loving, caring, understanding dad. I love and miss you beyond measure!
