John Wayne Fowler, Jr., 60, of Orange, passed away on August 7, 2020, in Port Arthur.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 13, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Burial will follow at Orange Forest Lawn in West Orange.
Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Claybar Funeral Home.
Born in Sabine Pass, Texas, on May 13, 1960, he was the son of John Fowler, Sr. and Era (Crumpler) Fowler. John was a mechanic who took pride in his work and his cars. He always had to have them in pristine condition inside and out. John enjoyed watching movies especially, the “oldies” and loved sports. He always kept up with his favorite teams the Cowboys, Astros, and Rockets. John was a family man who adored his wife, Selma and their family more than anything. He left an imprint on many lives and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Era Fowler; sister, Debra Daly; and sister in law, Shannon Fowler.
He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Selma Fowler; daughter, Chassity Bruno and husband Juston II of Beaumont; grandchildren, Juston Bruno III and Justice Bruno; siblings, Paula Oathoudt, William Fowler, David Fowler, Daniel Fowler; and host of nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers will be Malcom Garrett, Matthew Vickers, Jimmy Vickers, Christopher Simmons, Michael Rapp, and JaCorry Brady.
