John Joseph Kusnir, Sr., 86, of Orange, Texas, passed away on March 23, 2017, at his home surrounded by loved ones.
A graveside service with military honors will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, March 27, 2017, at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.
Born in Reading, Pennsylvania, on March 22, 1931, John was the son of Andrew and Anna Kusnir. He worked as a Chief Mate/1st officer for Merchant Marines and proudly served his country in the United States Navy.
John’s family members include his ex-wife, Geneva Wickware; children, Alice Norris, of Waco and John Kusnir, Jr., of Kentucky; grandchildren, Heidi Medford, Amber Patteson, and Codi Bashioum; great-grandchildren, Cutter and Abbey Patteson; and siblings, Anna Spannuth, Rose Mary Salinger, Martha Weirich, Andrew Kusnir, and Frank Kusnir.
