John Lacy "Cres" Creswell, 91, of Bridge City, died Saturday, April 26, 2008, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 30, 2008, at St. Henry Catholic Church in Bridge City. Reverend Jim McClintock will officiate. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be 5:00-9:00 p.m., Tuesday at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City, with a rosary at 6:00 p.m.
Cres was born May 18, 1916, in Abbeville, LA, to Frank and Fannie Davis Creswell.
He worked for 52 years as a project superintendent for the Stark Foundation.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Runie Creswell, children, Mona and Rick Clouse of Orange, Darlene Shoemaker of Bridge City, Bubba and Carla Lavergne of Bridge City and Rachel and Doug Harrington of China; niece Eileen Naigle of Lidel, TX; eleven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be Rick Clouse, Doug Harrington, Bubba Lavergne, Shawn Pettersen, Phillip Lavergne and Nic Lavergne.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Henry Catholic Church, 475 W. Roundbunch Rd., Bridge City, TX, 77611.
