John Franklin Moore, 72, of West Orange, passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2013, at his residence.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 21, 2013 at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange. Burial will follow at Orange Forest Lawn in West Orange.
A gathering of family and friends will be on Friday from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m., at the funeral home.
Born in Washington, Missouri on October 2, 1941, John was the son of Jim and Dorothy (Williams) Moore. John retired after 22 years from the Navy and was a Veteran of the Vietnam War. He worked in the oilfield and owned a lawn service. For two years, John was a Commander at the American Legion, and has been a member for many years. He was also a member of the V.F.W.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and three sisters, Rose, Helen and Ruth. John is survived by his wife, Eudacia Moore of West Orange; sons and daughters-in-law, James and Melanie Moore of Orangefield, John C. and Dori Moore of Keller; and daughter Michelle Moore of West Orange.
John is also survived by his five grandchildren, James Moore, Jr., Lindsay Moore, Bryce Dobson, Riley Moore and Emma Moore; brothers, Jerry Moore, Paul Moore, Carlis Moore; and sisters, Bonnie Hagerdorn and Violet Anderson.
