John Richey

John Richey, 73, of Sour Lake passed away at his home on Tuesday, July 12, 2016.

A gathering of family and friends will be Saturday, July 16, 2016 at Claybar Kelley Watkins Funeral Home in Beaumont beginning at 12:30 p.m. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm at the funeral home with Reverend Joseph Doughary of Trinity Baptist Church in Vidor officiating.

Mr. Richey was born March 6, 1943 in Beaumont to Bennie Marion and Elsie (Fleming) Richey. He graduated from South Park High School and worked as a hotel manager. He never met a stranger and loved spending time with his friends and family.

He is preceded in death by his parents and wives, Beverly Ann Richey and Barbara Jean Richey.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter and son-in-law, Sheryl and Doug Robinson; grandchildren, Hayden Robinson and Beverly Northen and husband, Billy and his brother, Robert Louis Richey.

The family requests that donations be made in his name to the Humane Society of Southeast Texas, 2050 Spindletop Ave., Beaumont TX 77705.
