John Erik Sanchez, 40, of Orange, Texas, passed away on February 8, 2024, in Beaumont, Texas.
Born in Orange, Texas, on February 17, 1983, he was the son of Karen and Cirilo Martinez, Sr. Growing up at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Orange, John had a great love of the Lord and enjoyed reading the Bible. He was a friendly and talkative guy who loved spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews. In his free time, he liked to go fishing and walk around the mall. John was a wonderful person who will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Henry and Virgie Sanchez; and his uncle, Jose Martinez.
He is survived by his parents, Karen and Cirilo Martinez, Sr; his children, Brayden and Aubrey Sanchez; his siblings, Brittney Martinez and boyfriend, Cody Webb, Sr, and Cirilo Martinez, Jr; his nieces and nephews, Madison Taylor, Aria Webb, Cody Webb, Jr, and Elijah Webb; his uncle, Juan Sanchez; cousins, Jeff Sanchez and wife, Morgan, Christopher Sanchez and wife, Kayla, and Brianna Sanchez; along with numerous other loving friends and family.

My heart is truly broken upon hearing Erik has gotten his angel wings. Erik and my son Brandon were tight friends in high school and Erik was like a son, as result.
