John Kenneth Smith
John Smith, 65, of Bridge City, passed away on September 23, 2021, in Beaumont.

Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., Saturday, October 2, 2021at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.

Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, October 2, 2021, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City. Officiating will be Darrell Segura.

Born in Orange, Texas, on March 10, 1956, he was the son of J.W. Smith and Lois Louise (Johnson) Smith. John was a loving and kind husband, son, brother, and uncle. He was a member of IBEW Local 479 in Beaumont for 25 years. John loved to fly radio-controlled airplanes, being a long time member of the Orange County Radio Control Club. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, travelling, and metal detecting in his spare time. John will be missed dearly by those who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, J.W. and Louise Smith; sister, Winona Hamm; niece, Casey Lewis; and father-in-law, Robert Andrews.

He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Donna Smith; sister, Pam Jordan and husband Kirk of Cabot, Arkansas; 9 nephews; 1 niece; 4 great nephews; 3 great nieces; and 1 great-great niece.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123. On the memo line note the memorial is designated for Pancreatic Cancer Research. On a separate piece of paper include your name and address, and note Donna Smith for John K. Smith.
