Oh! Do I have a story!! Gerry and John (who I called Bubba), were going out duck hunting and Nana Mert always prepared a big breakfast before any of the boys (and me, Sharon, the only girl) way before daybreak, so o go out duck hunting! Well, breakfast was always the best, by chef Myrtle Lee, and we set out for the swamp to hunt duck! I recall traversing the nutria trails and stopping and seeing flying teal ducks that I could never hit! Dang it! Sooo, the brothers and I started walking through the wooded area. We came upon a nest in a big tall tree, and Bubba, said to me to shoot up in that nest! Well, I did, and a huge bull raccoon (bless his heart) fell from the tree and those BOYS made me carry it back home! But I’m not finished! They walked way ahead of me and I was in a utility easement with lots of cows and I thought they were chasing me! So, any of you girls want to hunt with the Stephens boys, You better be prepared for a memory for LIFE! Thank you Bubba! Love you Darlin, Sharon
