John Paul Wolf, Sr., 75, of Orange, peacefully went to be with his Lord and Savior, Saturday, November 9, 2013, at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont.
Memorial services will be 6:00 p.m. Thursday, November 14, 2013, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Barry Bradley of First Baptist Church in Orange.
Visitation will be prior to the service from 5:00-6:00 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
Born in Port Arthur, Texas, on January 15, 1938, Johnny was the son of Joseph James and Ann (Chapman) Wolf. After working at DuPont for 42 years he retired and spent his time with his family which he enjoyed more than anything. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Orange, where he served as a deacon and was very active in mission work. Johnny enjoyed fishing, hunting, traveling, and wood working, which he put to use building his family home.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Billy Frank Wolf; and sister, JoAnn Curran.
Johnny is survived by his wife and best friend of 49 years, Dee Wolf of Orange; daughter, Sabrina Wolf McDonald and husband, Bob of Atlanta, GA; sons, John Paul Wolf, Jr. of Spring, Rodney Wolf and wife, Jassica of Newport Beach, CA; eight grandchildren, Courtney, Matt, Grant, Coty, Isabella, Nicholas, Kelly, and Bobbi; and seven great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his four nephews, Glen Curran, Kevin Curran, Frank Wolf, and Jim Wolf; and numerous cousins. He will be missed by all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the building fund of First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 1453, Orange, TX 77630.
