Johnny Howard Peveto, Jr., 78, of Vidor, passed away on March 29, 2020, in Beaumont.
Born in Orange, Texas, on November 14, 1941, he was the son of Johnny Howard Peveto, Sr. and Inez (Engles) Peveto. He graduated high school from Mauriceville and went on to receive his degree from Stephen F. Austin State University. Johnny enjoyed fishing and loved cooking- especially the meringue he came to perfect. His passion above all else was found in teaching. He taught at various schools for over 50 years, and impacted many of his students lives over the years. Johnny will be dearly missed by all those who came to know and love him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny Sr. and Inez Peveto; brother, Weldon Peveto, Sr.; and sister, Evelyn Leffel.
He is survived by his nephews, Weldon Peveto, Jr. of Vidor, Johnny “Eddie” Peveto of Conroe and Raymond Clark of Angleton; and nieces, Sherry Taylor of Soper, Oklahoma, Dorothy Allen of Huntsville, Kathleen Hoens of North Zulch, and Rebecca Lawrence of Huffman.
