John Thomas Ford, 71, of Bridge City, Texas passed away Saturday, December 5, 2009, at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.
Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 9, 2009, at Hillcrest Memorial Park near Bridge City. Officiating will be Reverend Bob Boone of First Baptist Church Bridge City.
Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.
John was born on August 12, 1938, in Bridge City, Texas. He was the son of Thorne and Mary Lou Hearn Ford. John worked as an industrial engineer in Saudi Arabia and he was an airplane mechanic at Orange County Airport. He took early retirement from Neches Butane. He was a private pilot and a Veteran of the Air Force. He enjoyed spending time with his wife and family and was a wonderful father.
He was preceded in death by his parents. John is survived by his wife of 14 years, Femie Ford; daughter, Tammy Renee Moreno of Austin; sons, Rey Catubay of Ireland, Ruel Catubay of England and Rolando Catubay of the Philippines ; and grandchildren, Reign, Daena, Daniel and Jake Catubay.
