Jose Martinez

Jose Martinez, 54, of Orange, Texas, passed away on November 30, 2022, at his home in Orange.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., December 9, 2022, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.

Visitation will take place prior to the funeral service, 1:00 p.m. on December 9, 2022 at Claybar Funeral Home.

Born in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, on April 20, 1968, he was the son of Jconceicion Martinez Duque and Soledad Colchado Banda. Jose was known for his great personality and always showing his goofy grin. He was a stubborn man, but he had a heart of gold and would drop what he was doing to help anyone in need. Jose was a great father who loved his children and grandchildren. His family and friends will love and cherish his memory forever.

He is preceded in death by the mother of his children, Kimberly Oliver.

He is survived by his parents, Jconceicion Martinez Duque and Soledad Colchado Banda; his children, Chace Ryan, Clarissa Martinez Jones and husband Tristan, Selena Oliver Alvarez and husband John, Aaron Oliver, and Kambri LeBlanc; his adopted daughter Kenya King; his grandchildren, Jayden Martinez, Brayden Martinez, Jasmine Alvarez, Sai Alvarez, Aceson Ryan, and Axton Ryan; his siblings, Gorgonia Martinez, Ernestina Martinez, Audencio Martinez, Silvester Martinez, and Cirilo Martinez; and his numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Serving as pallbearers will be John Alvarez, Tristan Jones, Marty Martinez, Cirilo Martinez, Delfino Duque, Aaron Oliver, and Kieron Forward. Honorary pallbearer is Silvester Martinez and Omar Martinez.
