Joseph Domenico, 86, of Sour Lake, Texas, passed away on Monday, January 25, 2021, in Beaumont, Texas.
Funeral services will be on Friday, January 29, 2021, 2:00 p.m. at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home in Beaumont, Texas. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 28, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home.
Born in Beaumont, Texas on October 6, 1934, he was the son of Peter Domenico and Mary (Tortoris) Domenico. Joseph was a loving husband and father. He was drafted into the United States Army on September 20, 1956 and proudly served his country. After the Army, Joseph went on to become a Captain in the City of Beaumont Fire Department and retired after 25 years of service. There wasn’t anything he couldn’t do. Joseph enjoyed learning new hobbies and crafts. He loved to play golf, the guitar, woodworking, and studying the meanings of the bible. Joseph was a kind and generous man who never met a stranger. His smile lit up every room he walked into and the world will be a little less bright without him. Joseph will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure to know and love him.
He was preceded in death by his parents Peter Domenico and Mary (Tortoris) Domenico.
He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years Judy (Clements) Domenico; children, Cindy Monroe and her husband Scott of Kemah, Texas, Cheryl Nowell and her husband Sidney of Beaumont, Texas, Dana Harris and her husband Len of Cairo, Illinois, and Angie Domenico of Sour Lake, Texas; grandchildren, Casey, Lauren, Cole, Tanner, Cody, Lawrence, and Zoe; 4 great-grandchildren; and his brother Johnny Domenico.
Serving as pallbearers will be, Tanner Eaves, Colby Eaves, Cody Holder, Lawrence Griffin, Riley Jordan, and Kendal Jordan.
