Obituary
JJ Jasper LeBlanc, 88, of Orange, passed away on June 24, 2021, in Beaumont.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 30, at St. Helen Catholic Church, in Orange. Officiating will be Father Michael Strothers. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery in Orange.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with a vigil starting at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Orange, Texas, on May 8, 1933, he was the son of Burney LeBlanc and Edmae (Fitch) LeBlanc. JJ proudly and honorably served his country in the United States Army in the Korean War. He was a faithful member of St. Helen Catholic Church. JJ was a very hardworker and a jack of all trades who could do anything he put his mind to. He loved his family more than anything and his grandchildren were his pride and joy. JJ left an impact on many lives and will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Sunny Claire LeBlanc; parents, Burney and Edmae LeBlanc, siblings, Mary Elsie Caraway, Andrew LeBlanc, Lawrence “LJ” LeBlanc, Albert LeBlanc, and Irma Jean Foy.
He is survived by his children, Randall J. LeBlanc, Karyn R. Trantham, and Kat L. LeBlanc; step children Steven W. Harvey, Victor M. Harvey, and Michael A. Harvey; 20 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to send a special thanks to the hospice nurses Amy and Wanda who helped take care of JJ and his family during this difficult time.
A prayer vigil will be held at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 29, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
