Joseph Henry Narcisse, 78, of Lafayette, Louisiana, passed away on October 21, in Beaumont.
Born in Lafayette, Louisiana, on March 4, 1943, Joseph was the son of Willie and Julia Narcisse. He lived and attended school between Beaumont and Lafayette and most people knew him as Willie or Joe. Joseph retired from Lamar University of Beaumont, after 23 years as a machine operator in the Department Physical Plant. He also held a career with Wal-Mart, St. Elizabeth Hospital, Coca-Cola Plant and was a member of the National Labor Union. Joseph was a fun person that really like to talk and add more friends to his ever-growing ‘village’. He loved to hunt, fish with Frederick (speedy close as a son), camp out, shooting a game of pool (something he was very good at), and travelling. Thanks to all who visited and called him in his last days, he enjoyed all of it. Joseph is and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his loving wife, Lee Narcisse; children, Demarcus Narcisse and wife Chamequis; Priscilla Narcisse, Lisa Narcisse, Tammy Narcisse, Frederick Bragga and wife Yolanda, Natishia Mallet and husband Kenny, Terri Babineaux; stepsons, Michael Robinson and wife Shenica and Doffie Robinson-Alfred and partner Clarence Alfred; grandchildren, A’Cy’A, Amari Narcisse, Cederick Bragga, Brandon Mallet, Kamyran Mallett, Hayley Mallet, Alexandria Babineaux, Dusty Narcisse, Amie Narcisse, Jamie Narcisse, Ciara Narcisse, Brittany Narcisse, Victoria Narcisse, Jessica Narcisse, Ebony Narcisse, and Ignatious Narcisse; 12 great-grandchildren; as well as many more family and friends.
