Joseph Paul Patronella, 62, of Orange, passed away on October 2, in North Carolina.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 13, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery in Orange.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 12, with a rosary service at 6:00 p.m., at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Orange, on January 20, 1959, he was the son of John H. Patronella and Lyndia (Chapman) Patronella. Joe was a man of the simple pleasures in life, the outdoors, Zydeco music, cars and motorcycles. He was a hardworking pipeline inspector for Meridian Construction. When he wasn’t working, Joe loved to do woodworking and show off his cooking skills while surrounded by his family and friends. He will be dearly missed by those that held him close.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Rose and Sam Patronella and Cora and Leslie Chapman.
Joe is survived by his loving wife, Sherry Patronella of Orange, Texas; parents, Lyndia and John Patronella of Buna, Texas; children, Misty Patronella and wife Janet Secondi of Kyle, Texas, Crystal Mattix and husband Robbie of Houston, Texas, Rachel Valentine and husband Roland of Houston, Texas, and Courtney Janice and husband Chris of Orange, Texas; grandchildren, Joseph Rose and wife Angelica, Latoya Janice, Pvt. Da-Sasha Janice, Jake Secondi, Riley Rose, and Rolando Valentine; siblings, Pam Lestage and husband James of Orange, Texas, John Patronella, Jr. and wife Shannon of Buna, Texas, Patsy McClelland and husband Craig of Mauriceville, Texas.
Serving as pallbearers will be Greg Henry, Jody Rascoe, Joseph Rose, Chris Janice, Harold Hubbard, Misty Patronella. Honorary pallbearers are Jake Secondi and Dylan Hubbard.
