Joshua Day, 41, of Orange, Texas, passed away on November 2, 2018, in Port Arthur.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, November 8, 2018, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City. Procession to Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Crematory will follow.
Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, November 8, 2018 at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.
Born in Fort Worth, Texas, on September 25, 1977, he was the son of Joseph Day and Darlene Addison Day. Josh, known by many, especially his children as “Pirate”, loved hunting with Shawn Daigle, getting tattoos by Flipper and listening to music. He enjoyed spending game night with Baylee and spending time with Kessy. Josh was the co-owner of Smooth Cut Lawn Care. He never met a stranger and was loved by everyone who met him, always helping out anyone who needed it. Josh held his friendship with Daniel Duplichein close to his heart. He was incredibly smart and handy and was a talented woodworker. Josh will be dearly missed by all those whose lives he touched.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Caleb Day.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mysti Day of Bridge City; mother, Darlene Day of Bridge City; father, Joseph Day and wife Belinda of Indian Springs; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Kevin and Tammy Breaux of Bridge City; grandparents, Wanda Addison of Groves and Eunice Walden of Nederland; children, Baylee Breaux Day, and Kessy Breaux; sisters, Jolene McCain of Magnolia, Tayla Jeane of Bridge City, Naomi Baker of Rose City, and Mary Reed; nephews, Caleb McCain, and River Jeane; and God Children, Emily Perkins, Alyssa Coulter, and Gavin Johnson; among many other loving family and friends.
