Juanita K. Myers, 84, of Orangefield, passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2015, at Medical Center of Southeast Texas in Port Arthur.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 8, 2015, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City. Officiating will be Brother Cody Hogden of First Baptist Church in Orangefield. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Bridge City.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 7, 2015 from 4:00 p.m.-until, with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Following Rosary family will have a time for memorable moments with Juanita/Toot/Maw Maw Crawfish.

Born in Hackberry, Louisiana, on June 20, 1930, she was the daughter of Landry Kibodeaux and Azelie Newman Kibodeaux. She attended St. Helen’s Catholic Church and loved visiting First Baptist Church in Orangefield. She was a loving wife, mother, aunt, sister, grandmother, great- grandmother, foster mother, mentor to many, team player, coach and beloved friend. She loved God, her family, loved and lived life to its fullest. She loved to travel anywhere, anytime. She contributed her all to her community and above all helped ANYONE in need with an open mind and open heart. She never met a stranger. One of Juanita’s many mottos was: “If I can help just one person then I have done my job”. She lived by the golden rule; treat others as you want to be treated. She will be truly missed by all who were lucky to have known her.

She was preceded in death by her Parents, her siblings; Ida Hanks, Anna Moosa, Clifford Kibodeaux, Edith Landry, Marceline Jones, Easton Kibodeaux and her son; Nolan J. Myers.

Juanita is survived by her husband of 68 years, Clevan J. Myers, Sr.; children, Clevan (Butch) and Becky Myers, Curley and Sheryl Myers, Rolan Sr. and Debbie Myers, Regina Myers, Pat Park, Vivian Myers, Belinda and Larry Nunez, Leisha Myers, Sheri Huckaby, Stephanie and Brad Williams, Sabrina Myers and Jennifer Burns all of Orangefield; grandchildren, Kelley and Craig Arnaud, Ronnie Nunez, Jenny and Chris Wolfford, Jessica and Greg Hobbs, Rolan Myers(Bubba), James (Bucky) and Katy High, Josh and Laura High, Dana and Brent Dearing, Kirby and Hunter Wallace, Skylar and Ryan Trahan, Matthew and Stephanie Williams and Joey Williams; great-grandchildren, Maggie and Cameron Arnaud, Reilly Hebert, CoCo and Emilee Nunez, McKenzie and Christian, Terry Sherman, Blaze, Kinley and Cryslynn Wolfford, Becca, Alayna, Sydney and Mia Hobbs, Prestyn, Skye and Nolan Myers, Tatum, Shepherd and Georgia High, Reese and Reagan Dearing, Emma Williams, Harper Trahan, Baby Wallace and Baby Arnaud on the way. There were numerous adopted children: Lamar University Althletes, Orangefield Softball, Basketball and all sports teams, AAU Basketball, TAAF and ASA softball summer teams (all ages), Granger Lane families and all of her Armadillo call fans.

Serving as pallbearers will be James L. High (Bucky), Josh High, Rolan Myers, Jr.(Bubba), Matthew Williams (Matt), Joey Williams, Cameron Arnaud, Terry Sherman and Blaze Wolfford. Honorary pallbearers are Clevan Myers, Jr. (Butch), Curley Myers, Rolan Myers, Sr., Larry Nunez, Kenny Myers and Brad Williams.

A scholarship is being established at Lamar University Beaumont. This scholarship is in honor of Juanita and all of her lifelong friends who were the pillars of our community: Addie Broussard, Sarah Granger, Lillian Huckaby, Mary Foreman, Mary Ford, Marilyn Cotton, Celeste Montagne, Geraldine Laughlin, Margie Granger, Eunice Broussard, Mary Campbell, and numerous other friends that she made along the way.
