Juanita Dolores Garison

Juanita Dolores Garison of Houston, TX died at the age of 97 on October 21, 2010 at St. Johns Hospital in Webster, TX from natural causes. She was born May 25, 1913, in Alexandria, LA, to Ira G. and Hattie E. Foster Walding.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 25, 2010, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City. Officiating will be Reverend Bobby Granger. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home.

Juanita was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Magnolia Chapter 706 for 55 years. She retired from the Boy Scouts of America and had 8000 hours of volunteer work at MD Anderson Hospital. She also loved making homemade candy for friends and family...and was very good at it.

Survivors include her grandson John Garison and wife Ann of Houston; great-grandchildren Cory, Tyler, Gracie, and Sophie; and great-great-granddaughter Emmalynn. Also a number of wonderful nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years Virgil Garison; daughter Jacqueline Carol Garison and son Ira Gene Garison; and sister Alona E. Walding.

We love you very much Maw Maw. May you be reunited with Paw Paw, Dad, and Jacqueline in heaven. You will be missed.
