Juliana Cole Johnson Juli, 53, of Orange, TX, passed away on October 25, 2007, at Houston Hospice in Houston, TX.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 27, 2007, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange. Officiating will be Mr. Mickey McNamara Elder of 9th and Elm Church of Christ.
Entombment will follow will follow at Orange Forest Lawn Mausoleum in West Orange.
Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
Juli was born June 15, 1954, in Port Arthur, the daughter of Frank Gilbert Johnson and Beatrice Lanell Scoggins Johnson.
A native of Port Arthur, TX, she resided in Orange since 1997. She retired from the local oil refineries as a Draftsman/Electrical Designer after 20 years. Juli owned and operated St. Nick?s Marina and Sailing School on the Sabine River. She was a past Commander of the Beaumont Power Squadron and later a loyal member of the Orange Sail and Power Squadron. She was an adventurous traveler until her illness restricted her movements. She enjoyed internet shopping and spending joyous times with her grandchildren.
Ms. Johnson was preceded in death by her father, Frank Johnson, and her brother, Gary Johnson.
She is survived by her mother Lanell Johnson of Orange, her son Greg Sparks of Houston, TX, her daughter Kimberly Brown and husband Sam of Suffolk, VA, her companion Susan Quigley of Orange, her grandchildren, Nicholas Romines of Dimmitt, TX, and Samarri Brown of Suffolk, VA, and many loving family members.
Serving as pallbearers will be Scott Bossier, Jeffrey Scoggins, Mitchell Scoggins, Randy Lee, Ricky Lee, Nicholas Romines, Sam Brown and Tom Taylor.
