June Marcella Kimbrough, 88, of Beaumont was born November 16, 1929 in Beaumont, Texas and passed away March 26, 2018 at her residence.
A celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Claybar Kelley-Watkins Chapel officiated by Dr. Robert Shield, Senior Pastor of Trinity United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. A gathering of family and friend will be held on Monday evening from 6-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
June was a Beaumont High School Royal Purple and a graduate of Chienier Business College. Following graduation, she went to work for Sun Oil in the secretary pool. In 1952 she meet Bill and they were married in 1955.
In about 1965, June talked Moody Williamson into adding real estate to his insurance business and thus began her almost 45 year run in the real estate business. Her slogan was "Selling Beaumont!" and she did this wherever she went. She earned many accolades and was the President of the Texas Association of Realtors. She retired from American Real Estate in 2010. She was also a 50 year member of Beta Sigma Phi.
She was preceded in death by her husband William R. “Billie” Kimbrough.
June is survived by her son, Randall Kimbrough and his wife, Virginia Aline Kimbrough of Beaumont; sister, Betty Jo Stone; 7 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
